Frequently Asked Questions

I get my payroll done now by one of your competitors. Why should I consider using GNSA?
If simplifying the payroll process, getting more information at your fingertips from anywhere you have an internet connection, and obtaining a vehicle for enhancing communication throughout your organization is something you’re interested in knowing more about, then we should definitely talk. Most of GNSA’s competitors do not offer these types of services to their smaller (< 500 employee) clients.
What size clients can GNSA handle?
GNSA has clients ranging in size from 2 to 1000 employees. Obviously, the larger the client the more sophisticated the information and service needs they will have. We love to work on the kind of big challenges that the Ultipro system is designed to solve. In fact, the bigger the challenge, the more satisfying it is when it is successfully completed! However, we also can manage the needs of smaller employers who just need a basic payroll processed timely.
GNSA offers a lot of different services. Do I have to use them all or will you let me pick and choose?
GNSA understands that every client has a unique set of needs that must be addressed. Clients are free to pick and choose the services that are the best fit for them based on their perceived need and budget.
We have approximately 200 employees spread out over the western U.S. What can a human resource management system do for me to make my life better?
A well designed human resource management system (HRMS) puts current data about the workforce into the hands of the people within the organization who use the information to make sound business decisions. This ability, often referred to as Business Intelligence, gives management a tool that they can easily customize so they can quickly see what is happening with the business and proactively direct future decisions. GNSA’s Ultipro system would also allow your managers and employees to access information remotely in your various office locations. Employees could make changes to their personal data and access employer forms and other communications. Managers could utilize the reporting tools and greatly improve processes that are currently inefficient.
Why do you guys post all of your new clients on your webpage? Aren’t you afraid your competitors will “pick them off”?
GNSA recognizes that growth is the lifeblood of any business and the source of excitement for the employees. We also know that we can only expect to keep our clients to the extent we continue to do a good job for them. Telling the world wide web who our clients are challenges all of us at GNSA to raise the bar on our customer service and reminds us of our goal of wanting all our clients to be comfortable referring us to their friends and colleagues.
What makes GNSA so different from its competitors?
Value, Service, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Isn’t that what every company’s marketing effort says? GNSA is the best, but don’t take our word for it. Talk to our customers: they’ll tell you. That’s why we put them on our webpage. Wouldn’t it be nice if every company was so transparent?
The last time we changed payroll services the transition was a nightmare. How can a move to GNSA be any different?
We hear this often. GNSA has clients that have told us about the horrendous transitions they have been through before and how this initially kept them from wanting to switch to GNSA. Fortunately, they did switch to GNSA and discovered that there is a company that places an emphasis on making the transition as smooth and painless as possible for the client. We like to call this our “High Touch Service” and it’s a priority for every new account we bring on.
When is the best time to switch to GNSA?
The classic answer is that it’s best to switch at either the beginning of a new year or quarter. Although this is true, it’s also true that we bring on new clients every month throughout the year. Because GNSA takes on so much of the responsibility for making the transition smooth for our clients we would say to you, “If what GNSA is offering is so much better than what you are doing now, why wouldn’t you want to make the switch as soon as possible”?
How much lead time is needed to switch to GNSA?
It all depends on what GNSA is going to be doing for you and how easy it is to get access to existing data. Generally, anywhere from 2 weeks to two months is what we find works well for most of our clients and GNSA.
